Ziel ist die Einführung eines neuen Gesamtsystems, oder bei Notwendigkeit mehrerer Teilsysteme mit einzelnenSpezialisierungen zur GIS-unterstützten Netzdokumentation und Instandhaltungssteuerung. Die bestehendenSysteme sollen damit großteils abgelöst werden. Weitere Themen wie Datenmigration, Stammdatenaufbau,Anbindungen an bestehende Systeme, etc. werden im Projekt ebenso behandelt. Die Netzdokumentation umfasst die folgenden Sparten in einer Versorgungsfläche von rund 19 000 km2 imstädtischen und ländlichen Gebiet: Strom, Gas, Wärme, Kälte, Trinkwasserver- sowie Abwasserentsorgung, Straßenbeleuchtung,Telekommunikation für Kabel- und Funknetze sowie Korrosionsschutz und Leckwarnsysteme.
